Sri Lanka, July 15 -- Two individuals travelling in a car died this morning(15) after their vehicle plunged into the Viyani Ela in Mahiyanganaya, according to Mahiyanganaya Police.

The accident occurred when the car, travelling on the Badulla-Mahiyanganaya main road, veered off the road and overturned.

The deceased have been identified as two residents from the Buttala-Okkampitiya area.

Police stated that the overturned vehicle has now been recovered from the canal.
