Sri Lanka, Feb. 1 -- Two people died and 25 others were injured in an accident this morning at the 118th mile post area in Galwanguwa - Habarana when a bus and a van collided. The deceased were identified as the van driver and a female passenger from the bus, according to police.

Reports indicate that the bus, which was carrying around 50 passengers on an excursion, was involved in the crash.

The injured have been admitted to Dambulla Base Hospital for treatment.

In a separate incident, a vehicle belonging to the Presidential Security Division crashed near the 70th kilometer post on the Thalawa - A28 road, injuring four officers. Police reported that the Defender veered off the road and hit an electric pole. The injured officers were a...
