Sri Lanka, Jan. 12 -- A driver and a passenger sustained injuries and were admitted to the Dickoya Base Hospital yesterday (11) following a vehicle mishap, according to local police.

The incident occurred in the New Valleywatte area of Norwood when the vehicle veered off a steep section of the road and tumbled approximately 25 feet down a precipice.

Authorities stated that the three-wheeler travelled at high speed from Maskeliya toward Norwood before losing control.

While the occupants are receiving medical treatment, the Norwood Police noted that the vehicle itself suffered extensive damage in the fall.
