Sri Lanka, March 16 -- Two people were injured when a cab belonging to the Midigama Police collided with a Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) bus at Kumbhalgama Junction on the Galle-Matara main road.

The accident occurred around 5:30 a.m. today when a lorry transporting sand from Matara collided with the parked police cab and SLTB bus. The bus, traveling between Galle and Matara, had just picked up a passenger and was moving slowly towards Galle when the lorry struck.

Both the police cab and the SLTB bus sustained severe damage. One passenger from the lorry and another from the bus were injured and admitted to the Matara Maha Rolla hospital.

The lorry driver, a resident of Hungama, has been arrested. Police suspect the accident occurred...
