SriLanka, Jan. 25 -- The Indian Coast Guard ships ICGS Varaha and ICGS Atulya arrived at the Port of Colombo yesterday (24 ) for a formal visit.
Upon their arrival, the vessels were warmly welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in accordance with long-standing naval traditions.
According to the Sri Lanka Navy, this visit is more than a mere goodwill gesture.
The ships are scheduled to participate in a series of joint exercises with the Sri Lanka Coast Guard. These drills are designed to strengthen interoperability between the two maritime forces, facilitate the exchange of professional knowledge and operational experiences and enhance collective capacity to address regional maritime challenges.
