Sri Lanka, April 30 -- A former Secretary of the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council and a former Assistant Planning Director of the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Roads Ministry have been remanded in custody until May 8, pertaining to a fraud case.
This decision was made after they were produced before Embilipitiya Magistrate Thilina Mahesh Peiris.
The remanded individuals are Devapriya Wijayaraj, a retired secretary of the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Roads, Rural Infrastructure, Tourism and Sports Ministry, and Kusumlatha Kumaranayake, a former Assistant Planning Director of the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Roads Ministry.
