Sri Lanka, June 29 -- The Navy has reported that two fishermen are missing after their multi-day fishing vessel capsized off the coast of Tangalle.

Six fishermen were on board the 'Maxim Putha 01', which had departed from Tangalle fisheries harbour yesterday morning (28).

Four fishermen have been rescued from the incident and admitted to Tangalle Base Hospital for treatment.

The two missing fishermen are reportedly 39 and 49 years old, and are residents of Hambantota and Tangalle respectively.

Search operations are underway to locate them.
