Sri Lanka, Aug. 16 -- Two suspects have been arrested with nearly 309 kilograms of Kerala cannabis in the Bangalawatta area of Wattala.

The raid was conducted by the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) yesterday (15) based on a tip-off.

The suspects, who are residents of Grandpass, are 43 and 49 years old.

The cannabis was found hidden in a room inside a house they had rented.

The suspects are to be presented before the Welisara Magistrate's Court today, while the PNB conducts further investigations.
