Sri Lanka, Oct. 30 -- Wan Ella Police reported that two individuals were arrested yesterday afternoon (29) along with an underground scanner while staying at a house, with the intention of unearthing a treasure in the Wan Ella area.

Acting on information received, the police arrested the two suspects and seized the scanner. The police stated that the suspects are residents of Kinniya, Trincomalee, and Alwiswatta, Wattala.

The suspects are scheduled to be produced before the Kantale Magistrate's Court along with the scanner.

Wan Ella Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
