Sri Lanka, Jan. 28 -- Omantha Police have arrested two suspects involved in attacking two young women and stealing a mobile phone worth nearly 700,000 rupees in Omantha, Vavuniya.

The incident occurred when the young women were riding a motorcycle from Thandikkulam, Vavuniya, to Omantha. Two men on another motorcycle stopped them, attacked them, and stole a mobile phone from one of the women before fleeing the scene.

The victims promptly alerted the Vavuniya emergency call unit, which informed the Omantha Police. Officers on duty pursued the suspects along their escape route and apprehended them in the Kanagarayan Kulam area.
