Srilanka, Nov. 29 -- The Colombo Crimes Division arrested two suspects accused of aiding and abetting the fatal shooting that occurred in the Kotahena police division on November 7, where a person arrived in a car and fired a firearm.

Police stated the suspects were arrested on November 28, 2025, based on information received by investigating officers.

Police reports indicate one suspect was arrested for providing lodging and assistance to the individuals who committed the crime in the Ja-Ela and Kotahena police divisions. The second suspect was arrested for aiding and abetting the crime by transporting the firearm after the shooting.

The suspects, aged 21 and 29, are residents of the Colombo 13 area.
