Sri Lanka, March 7 -- The body of a 42-year-old man who was reported missing last month was discovered yesterday (06) in a deserted well in Dematagahakanda, covered with soil.

Investigations began after the man's wife filed a complaint at the Elpitiya Police Station on February 14. During questioning, the owner of the land admitted that the man had died after being electrocuted by a wire set up to hunt wild animals. He and another individual had then disposed of the body in the well.

The police have arrested both suspects, aged 38 and 46, who are residents of Dematagahakanda. Further investigations are ongoing.
