Sri Lanka, May 27 -- Turkish intelligence services claim to have dismantled a Chinese espionage network operating within Turkey.

This network was allegedly conducting surveillance on Uyghur refugees and Turkish officials using advanced technology, notably fake mobile towers, according to foreign media reports.

Earlier this month, Turkish intelligence agents reportedly arrested seven suspects and discovered their vehicles equipped with IMSI-catcher devices.

These devices, which emulate genuine mobile base stations, are capable of intercepting data, call logs, conversations, and other sensitive information from nearby mobile phones.
