Sri Lanka, Jan. 26 -- President Donald Trump visited California on Friday to assess the destruction caused by deadly wildfires that ravaged communities in the Los Angeles area earlier this month.
The visit came amid ongoing tensions with Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom, a frequent critic of Trump. Despite their political differences, Newsom greeted Trump on the tarmac as he arrived from North Carolina, where he had toured damage from Hurricane Helene.
