Sri Lanka, May 11 -- TRUMP ORDERS 20,000 OFFICERS INCREASE FOR DEPORTATION PUSH
President Donald Trump has directed the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to add at least 20,000 officers to enforce his administration's deportation policies.
This directive, issued on Friday, is part of a broader plan to incentivise undocumented immigrants to voluntarily leave the United States.
In a video statement, Trump emphasized his aim to make it "as easy as possible" for undocumented individuals to depart the country.
The federal government will fund flights for those who choose voluntary departure and provide an "exit bonus," as outlined in the executive order.
