Sri Lanka, Feb. 5 -- Elevating Sri Lanka's digital governance framework to a new level, the nationwide implementation of the GovPay digital traffic fine payment system was successfully completed on 3 February 2026. Initially launched as a pilot project in April 2025 across 11 police stations, the initiative has now been systematically expanded to cover all nine provinces. More than a technological solution, GovPay represents a significant step toward delivering a more efficient, transparent, and citizen-centric public service.
