Sri Lanka, Jan. 18 -- Minister of Tourism Prasanna Ranatunga states that an income of Rs. 42 million was earned from the pilot project to re-open the country for travellers.

He stated this at a discussion held with the heads of media institutions at the Ministry of Mass Media and Information today (18).

The Minister further stated that the country will be open to foreign tourists from the 21 January in accordance with health guidelines.
