Sri Lanka, Dec. 30 -- A two-year-old girl lost her life following a collision on the Aluthgama-Mathugama road while returning from a religious trip.

MinasiOnara, aged two years, died when the motorcycle she travelled on with her parents collided with a cab near the Ambagas Junction at the 5th Post.

The child's cousin, AlokaManarangi, stated that the family visited the KandeViharaya temple in Aluthgama for an offering Thursday (25).

The father, SajanthaLakshan, worked at a garage while the mother, Amandi Manjula, was a homemaker.

Witnesses noted the child sat happily with her parents shortly before the impact occurred.

The victim's aunt, UdeniChandrakanthi, mentioned that the parents sustained severe injuries and remain bedridden.
