Sri Lanka, Aug. 4 -- Three-wheeler associations have voiced their opposition to a new government initiative that issues valid driving licences to foreign tourists based on their existing licences and visa period.
A new branch office of the Department of Motor Traffic, providing this service, was opened yesterday (3) at the Katunayake Airport's arrival terminal.
The new facility allows tourists with heavy vehicle or three-wheeler licences from their home countries to obtain a driving licence valid in Sri Lanka
