Sri Lanka, Feb. 27 -- Three people were killed and several others injured in separate road accidents reported in Mahawa, Avissawella, and Badalgama.

In the first incident, a head-on collision between two motorcycles in the Kekunawa area on the Mahawa-Nagollagama road left one rider dead and two others seriously injured. The deceased, a 34-year-old resident of Mahawa, succumbed to his injuries at Mahawa Hospital. The injured have been transferred to Kurunegala Hospital, while Mahawa Police continue investigations.
