Sri Lanka, March 10 -- Two women and a one-year-old infant died in a head-on collision between a three-wheeler and a bus in the Galahitiyawa area of Madampe.

The deceased were women aged 32 and 36, along with a one-year-old child, all from Minuwangoda and Ragama.

Two men, including the driver, along with two young boys and two girls, sustained injuries and were admitted to Chilaw General Hospital.

The accident occurred last evening while the group was returning from the annual feast at St. Anne's Church in Thalawila.

The bus driver has been arrested, and Madampe Police are conducting further investigations.
