Sri Lanka, Sept. 3 -- An appreciation ceremony was recently held by the International Human Rights Organization and residents of the Thebuwana police division to honor the service of Thebuwana police officers.

The event, led by Matugama District 02 Assistant Superintendent of Police Inoka Liyanage, recognized seven police officers for their involvement in large-scale drug raids.

The officers, including Thebuwana Police Station's Officer-in-Charge, Chief Inspector K.S. Darshana, were presented with commemorative plaques, medals, and certificates.

Senior Lecturer Ravindra Samaraweera and other officials from the International Human Rights Organization also attended the ceremony.
