Srilanka, Nov. 12 -- The Tambuttegama Magistrate, Gayathri Hettiarachchi, ordered the bus driver arrested on suspicion concerning the bus incident at Jayaganga, Thalawa, which cost the life of a school student and caused serious and minor injuries to close to 40 other passengers, to be held in remand custody until November 18.
The Magistrate further directed the Tambuttegama Police Traffic Division to continue investigations into the incident and submit a progress report to the court.
The bus driver remanded was R.P. Kusum Rajapaksha, a resident of Moragoda, Thalawa.
