Sri Lanka, April 26 -- Six officers of the Royal Thai Police were killed following a plane crash into the sea.
The incident on Friday (25) in the coastal district of Cha-am, situated around 130 kilometres south-west of the capital, Bangkok.
The small aircraft was conducting a test flight in preparation for parachute training when it was witnessed crashing into the water.
In a statement released on social media, the Royal Thai Police confirmed that five officers died at the crash site, with a sixth officer later succumbing to their injuries in the hospital.
Police have identified the deceased as comprising three pilots, one engineer, and two mechanics.
