Sri Lanka, July 1 -- Thailand's Constitutional Court has suspended Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra amid growing calls for her resignation following a leaked phone call with former Cambodian leader Hun Sen.

In the recording, Paetongtarn referred to Hun Sen as "uncle" and criticised a Thai military commander, sparking public backlash and a formal petition for her dismissal.

This makes her the third member of the influential Shinawatra family to be removed from office before completing a term.
