Sri Lanka, Feb. 8 -- A temporary reduction in the current rainy weather conditions is anticipated from today (08) until the 11th, according to the Department of Meteorology.

Forecasts indicate that light showers may occur tomorrow in the Uva province and across the Matale, Nuwara Eliya, Ampara, Batticaloa, and Polonnaruwa districts. Additionally, isolated showers or thundershowers might develop after 2:00 PM in parts of the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts.

The department also warned of a high probability of severe lightning accompanying thundershowers in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and the Galle and Matara districts this evening.
