Sri Lanka, Sept. 15 -- A group of teachers from national schools arrived at the Ministry of Education this morning (15) and held a silent protest.

According to a correspondent, 10 teachers were granted an opportunity to engage in a discussion with ministry officials.

The teachers' protest was over the ongoing issues with admitting their own children to the schools where they teach, a right they say they are entitled to after completing three years of permanent service.

They say the ministry has not yet provided a solution to this problem.
