Sri Lanka, May 29 -- 11 suspects found on board two multi-day fishing vessels seized by the Sri Lanka Navy with 779 kilograms and 21 grams of narcotics heroin and 'Ice' are being further questioned by the Police Narcotics Bureau.

The two vessels and the 11 individuals were brought to the Dikowita Fisheries Harbour yesterday (28).

During the calculations, 275 kilograms and 59 grams of heroin were found, alongside 503 kilograms and 61 grams of 'Ice'.

A senior police officer indicated the total value exceeds Rs. 1.4 billion.

These vessels were interdicted by the Navy in seas near the Maldives during a joint operation with the Police Narcotics Bureau and State Intelligence Service.
