Sri Lanka, April 15 -- The Criminal Investigation Department has arrested the suspected gunman in the murder of former Boossa High-Security Prison Superintendent Siridath Dhammika.
He was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport while attempting to leave for Thailand using counterfeit travel documents.
The Police have identified the arrested individual as a 31-year-old resident of Ambalangoda.
They believe the suspect has operated as the chief assassin for an alleged underworld figure known as 'Karandeniye Sudda' in the southern province
The suspect was handed over to the Ambalangoda Police Headquarters for further investigations.
