Sri Lanka, April 24 -- Police report that a father and son, currently the primary suspects in the murder of social activist and Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) local council candidate Dan Priyasad, have fled the area.

Six teams have been deployed to apprehend them and other individuals involved.

Investigations have revealed that Dan Priyasad had a recent dispute with a certain party, and these individuals are relatives of the suspected father and son who are now at large.

Priyasad, accompanied by his wife and three children, had arrived at his wife's residence at the Laksada Sevana Apartment Complex in the Wellampitiya Salamulla area on the night before his death to attend a party.
