Sri Lanka, Jan. 26 -- The Colombo Additional Magistrate ordered the remand of a suspect until February 2 following a fatal altercation involving a pigeon.
The individual placed in custody is a resident of Peliyagoda who operates a business selling pigeons.
Peliyagoda Police informed the court that the deceased man had visited the suspect's place of business to question him about a missing pigeon.
Despite the businessman denying he had taken the bird, the man allegedly issued a threat before leaving.
He later returned with two other individuals to attack the businessman.
Preliminary investigations reveal that a clash ensued between the two parties, resulting in the death of the man who initiated the confrontation.
