SriLanka, Jan. 25 -- The Colombo Chief Magistrate, Asanga S. Bodaragama, has ordered the further remand of a man from Seeduwa until February 6 on charges of filming women in private settings and using the footage for extortion.

The suspect, a resident of Matiyagane, was apprehended by the Computer Crime Investigation Division following a complaint lodged by a woman in the Seeduwa area.

During the court proceedings, the Police informed the Magistrate that investigations into the suspect's mobile phone had uncovered a vast collection of illicit material.

This included numerous videos of women changing clothes and bathing, as well as other explicit content.
