Sri Lanka, Jan. 1 -- The Western Province South Crimes Division has arrested a businessman for allegedly aiding and abetting the 2022 assassination of Sumudu Rukshan, the former Vice Chairman of the Kotikawatta-Mulleriyawa Pradeshiya Sabha.
The 32-year-old suspect, a resident of Kokowita in Parakaduwa, was apprehended following a breakthrough in the ongoing investigation.
The arrest follows the intense interrogation of another suspect, Dulidu Dulshan Amarasinghe, alias 'Tsunami', who was taken into custody on the 25th of last month.
