Sri Lanka, May 27 -- The suspected gunman involved in the shooting and attempted murder of a person at a shop in Nedimala, Dehiwala, on May 19 has been arrested today (27).

Police stated that the suspect was apprehended based on a tip-off received by officers of the Western Province South Crime Division.

Police also found 10.16 grammes of 'Ice' in the possession of the suspect.

Meanwhile, another suspect has been arrested for aiding and abetting the crime, along with over 350 grammes of 'Ice".

The suspects, aged 38 and 43, are residents of Dehiwala and Mihintale, respectively.

The Western Province South Crime Division is conducting further investigations.
