Sri Lanka, Aug. 8 -- SupremeSAT has released a statement welcoming what it calls a "long-awaited public acknowledgment" that its satellite was successfully launched 13 years ago and that no government funds were used for the project.

The company stated that although these facts have been a matter of public record since 2012, "politically motivated narratives" have sought to deny them for over a decade.

SupremeSAT also addressed what it called "unfounded statements" regarding its location and corporate accounts, stating that the satellite "remains in orbit at 87.5deg East" and that discussions about its private company accounts are "inappropriate and misleading."
