Sri Lanka, Feb. 21 -- Several students practicing sports at a school in Galaha were admitted to the Galaha Regional Hospital after suffering from intense heat exposure.
Two students in critical condition were transferred to the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital for further treatment. However, after receiving medical attention, their parents took them home.
Amid rising temperatures, the Ministry of Education issued recommendations to Provincial Education Directors yesterday on how to conduct school activities in extreme heat conditions.
