Sri Lanka, Sept. 1 -- The Sri Lankan government is set to acquire two thousand new cab vehicles in the early part of next year, designated for use by officials heading state institutions.
According to Deputy Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government, Ruwan Senarath, this move is intended to improve mobility for officials, particularly those in local government bodies.
The goal is to ensure they can effectively access and serve grassroots communities to carry out development projects.
Mr Senarath explained that this initiative would make field duties for officers more efficient.
