Sri Lanka, June 28 -- Minister of Health and Mass Media, Dr Nalinda Jayatissa, announced that a programme will be implemented to establish state pharmacies (Rajya Osusala) in all 130 secondary and tertiary hospitals across the country, as well as near major private hospitals.
He made this statement yesterday (27) during the opening of the 65th Rajya Osusala of the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation (SPC) in Narahenpita.
The Minister further stated that while only 68 tenders for drug procurement were issued last year, the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation has already issued 268 tenders within the first five months of this year alone.
