Sri Lanka, May 12 -- The Sri Pada pilgrimage season for this year concludes tomorrow (13).

Chief Incumbent of Sri Pada and Chief Prelate of Sabaragamuwa Province, Venerable Khengamuwe Sri Dhammadinna Thera, said that the sacred relics casket and the statues of God Saman enshrined at the Upper Terrace (Uda Maluwa) of Sri Pada will be ceremoniously brought down to the Pelmadulla Galpoththawala Sri Pada Raja Maha Viharaya.

As per tradition, these relics and statues will be kept there until the end of the Sri Pada off-season.

Furthermore, the Chief Incumbent of Sri Pada emphasised that foreign tourists are permitted to visit Sri Pada during the off-season after informing the Nallathanniya Police.
