Sri Lanka, Aug. 30 -- Stakeholders in Sri Lanka's tourism industry say various issues are affecting many tourist areas across the country.
Reports indicate that ongoing problems with the electricity grid in the Bentota-Moragolla tourist zone mean that streetlights on main roads used by tourists are not functioning properly.
According to local residents and tourism professionals, this has caused tourists to be hesitant to go out at night due to safety concerns.
