Sri Lanka, Aug. 20 -- The Sri Lankan team has shown remarkable performances on the first day of the World Junior Swimming Championships in Otopeni, Romania.

Julie Hope, Kristina Perumal, M.F. Muhammad, and Asif Imran recorded their personal best times, becoming the top-performing swimmers in South Asia.

Julie Hope demonstrated her skill in the women's 100-meter backstroke, recording a time of 1:10.27.

Kristina Perumal recorded a time of 35.64 in the women's 50-meter breaststroke, while M.F. Muhammad recorded a time of 1:05.07 in the men's 100-meter breaststroke.

Asif Imran recorded a time of 1:08.85.

Although none of these Sri Lankan swimmers ranked high in the world rankings, it is notable that they all achieved the best performance...
