Sri Lanka, Oct. 16 -- The Sri Lankan passport has fallen to 98th place in the most recent Henley Passport Index 2025 Global Ranking. This decline follows a drop of six places in September due to various reasons, despite a major jump of five places from 96th to 91st earlier in July.
The Henley Passport Index 2025 ranks countries based on the number of destinations their passport holders can enter without needing a visa beforehand. Currently, Sri Lanka provides visa-free access to only 41 destinations, meaning Sri Lankans must obtain a valid visa to enter 185 other locations.
