Sri Lanka, May 4 -- Sri Lanka Navy conducted a three-day training program from April 26 to 28 to enhance community preparedness for disaster management, in line with the "Clean Sri Lanka" national project.

The training program was organised and conducted by the diving unit of the Southeastern Naval Command, following a request made by the Ampara District Secretary.

According to a statement released by the Navy, the program aimed to educate communities living in disaster-prone areas about disaster management and to enhance their technical knowledge under the guidance of specialist trainers from the Sri Lanka Navy.
