Sri Lanka, Sept. 11 -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has verified that a total of 109 Sri Lankan nationals currently in Nepal are safe. The ministry is in continuous communication with the Sri Lankan Embassy and community members in Kathmandu to provide updates and assistance.

In a related development, 73 Sri Lankan pilgrims who had travelled to Lumbini from India by road have now safely re-entered India. Embassy officials worked directly with Nepalese immigration to fast-track the necessary procedures.
