Sri Lanka, July 24 -- Vinod Sandaruwan, an athlete from Sabaragamuwa University participating in the 2025 World University Games in Germany, has been reported missing from the Athletes' Village.

He was scheduled to compete in the men's triple jump event tomorrow.

This year's World University Games feature over 8,500 athletes from 150 countries.

Sri Lanka's delegation includes 28 university athletes and three officials.

Notably, a similar incident occurred at the 2019 World University Games in Italy, where another athlete from Sabaragamuwa University also went missing.
