Srilanka, Dec. 26 -- The Sri Lankan Ambassador to Israel, Nimal Bandara, faced intense opposition from the Sri Lankan community during a recent meeting at the embassy.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment, Arun Hemachandra, chaired the discussion, which aimed to address the concerns of Sri Lankans employed in Israel.
During the session, attendees expressed strong dissatisfaction, accusing Ambassador Bandara of acting irresponsibly.
Deputy Minister Hemachandra intervened to de-escalate the situation, promising that the government would provide proper solutions to the grievances raised by the workers.
