Sri Lanka, June 18 -- Sri Lanka endured another tough day on the field, as the second day of the first test with Bangladesh in Galle came to a close.

Resuming the innings on 292 runs with 7 wickets in hand, Bangladesh lost centurion Najmul Shanto early on for 148 runs.

Sri Lanka's joy was short-lived, as Litton Das, together with overnight centurion Mushfiqur Rahim, put on a 149-run stand for the 5th wicket.

Rahim was then to fall for 168 runs, and two deliveries later, Das fell for 90 runs, with the score on 458.

But from then on, the home side enjoyed a sustained spell of success, claiming 3 more wickets.

At stumps, the visitors had amassed 484 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.
