Sri Lanka, Oct. 28 -- Sri Lanka's tourism industry recorded significant year-on-year growth through the first three weeks of October, welcoming over 137,000 international visitors.
This robust performance, however, still places the country behind the pace required to meet its annual targets.
The 137,876 tourist arrivals registered in the first 26 days of October 2025 mark a 21.8 % increase compared to the same period last year.
This strong monthly performance has pushed the cumulative total for 2025 to 1,863,370 arrivals as of October 26, an expansion of 16.6 % year-to-date.
