Sri Lanka, Jan. 20 -- The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) aims to send 1,000 Sri Lankans for home-based caregiving positions in Israel throughout 2026.

This initiative follows a bilateral agreement between the governments of Sri Lanka and Israel, which already facilitated employment for 2,656 individuals.

Within the first two weeks of 2026 alone, 107 caregiving professionals departed for Israel.

Eligible candidates include those aged 25 to 45 who appeared for the G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination.

Applicants must possess an NVQ Level III certificate in caregiving from the SLBFE or a registered institute, or provide proof of at least 11 months of nursing experience.
