Sri Lanka, Feb. 12 -- Australia's four-day Test victory in Galle has given them an extra day before switching to one-day mode. Initially scheduled for a single ODI in Colombo, a second match was added.
Injuries to Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Mitchell Marsh, along with Marcus Stoinis' surprise retirement, have left Australia's squad looking somewhat patched up. However, core members from the 2023 World Cup-winning team, including Travis Head, Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, and Adam Zampa, remain. Six additional players-Jake Fraser-McGurk, Cooper Connolly, Sean Abbott, Ben Dwarshuis, Spencer Johnson, and Tanveer Sangha-have been included, with Smith likely to captain the side.
